[Please click on the PEACE sign for full article.] From our featured author, the lovely and talented Deanne Stillman. She shares the parallels between 9/11 and Covid-19, and how Americans are struggling for home plate, below:
“The attack on 9/11 was from the outside. This one is coming from inside, which is to say, our belief systems have led to certain actions on the planet – assaults on wildlife and so on – and those have resulted in this virus and afflictions. Many elements of our lives are converging around this moment, as they did on 9/11.
This piece explores the convergence of currents such as family, fame, shopping, celebrity worship, patriotism, Don King, mass shootings and baseball. How do we get back to home plate? That is the question we must answer.”
